1. Majuli Island.


Mājuli or Majoli (Pron: ˈmʌʤʊlɪ) (Assameseমাজুলী) is a large river island in the Brahmaputra river, in AssamIndia. Majuli is the largest river island in the world. The island had a total area of 1,250 square kilometres wetland, Mājuli is a hotspot for flora and fauna, harbouring many rare and endangered avifauna species including migratory birds that arrive in the winter season. Among the birds seen here are: the Greater Adjutant StorkPelicanSiberian Crane and the Whistling Teal. After dark wild geese and ducks fly in flocks to distant destinations. The island is almos tpollution free owing to the lack of polluting industries and factories and also the chronic rainfall.


Mājuli is situated at a distance of 20 km from Jorhat. One can take the bus or a hired taxi to the Nimati Steamer Ghat from where ferry services ply. The distance takes over three hours to cover, with three bus rides and two ferry rides.
On the north-bank is the river Subansiri and on the South bank, the mighty Brahmaputra has excided the island from the main land.North Lakhimpur town is to the North and Golaghat is to its southwest. The town of Sibsagar is on the southeast and Jorhat is to the south. On the extreme east is Dibrugarh District.

2. Athirapilly Falls -  Kerala 

Kerala is also famous for the Athirapilly waterfalls apart from the romantic backwaters and coconut grooves. It is often known as the Niagara falls of India.

This serene place offers some breathtaking views and captives the tourist with cool water spray that covers a large surrounding near the fall.

These waterfalls provide you a silent escape from the stressful daily life of metro cities as it is not just calm and sweet, but something really wild and natural.



3. Malvan .


Malvan, also known as Malwan, is situated in the district of Sindhudurg in the state of Maharashtra. A culturally important town, the Malvan taluka comprises several villages and is bounded by three famous creeks, which are Kolamb, Kalavali and Karli.
In India there are a very few places where scuba diving can be done and Malvan is one of them. Due to its relatively clear sea waters, Malvan serves as a perfect spot for scuba diving (done mostly with surface oxygen supply) and snorkeling. Near the outer walls of Sindhudurg fort one can see lots of live corals and colorful marine life under the sea.

  • Sindhudurg - A sea fort. This impressive Sindhudurg (meaning Ocean Fort), was built in 1664 by the great 17th century Maratha King, Shivaji on "Kurte" island to the glory of the Maratha Empire. The construction of a sea fort was a stupendous task which is said to be completed in mere two and a half years. Over 2000 khandis (4000 mounds) of iron were used for casting and the foundation stones were laid down firmly in lead. It is said that the rocks of the same island were used to built the fort. Three sweet water wells are present on Sindhudurg Fort.
  • Tarkarli - A serene beach located 8 km off Malvan town. It has a Cottage Resort around the beach developed by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation(MTDC). This beach is a favorite with sand particles devoid of any red tinge and sky reflecting waters. Further north about another 6–7 km, is the Tarkarli creek and a lovely estuary. A boat ride on the Tarkarli creek is a pleasant way to spend some time.
  • Rock Garden - The Rock garden is situated near the Arase Mahal and on the Rocky Shore of Malvan.

4. Tsogmo Lake - Sikkim

38 km from Gangtok and at an altitude of 12,400 ft, the ethereally beautiful Tsomgo lake is a must on every visitors itinerary. A winding road through rugged mountain terrain and sharp cliffs takes you to Tsomgo, which means source of the water in Bhutia language. The lake derives its water from the melting snows of the mountains surrounding the lake. Of legendary beauty, the lake looks different at different seasons. In winter the placid lake remains frozen with the area around it covered in snow while in late spring the profusion of flowers in bloom adds a riot of colours around the lake. 
Tsomgo (Changu) LakeThe lake is associated with many myths and legends and is revered by the Sikkimese as sacred. It is believed that in olden times, Buddhist monks would study the colour of the water of the lake to forecast the future.





5. Gokarna - Karnataka

Gokarna is a town  located in the North Karnataka.  It is famous for for its beautiful beaches and landscapes. 

It is a perfect place for an idyllic vacation by the sea. With its blue seas and clean sands and coconut palms, Gokul beach offers a paranomic beach which can drive you crazy. 

Gokarna Beach is mainly used by Indian pilgrims.  Kuddle and Om are around 6 km from Gokarna town along a muddy hill; they are accessible by rickshaw or foot. 

Half moon and Paradise are beyond Om beach and are accessible only by foot or boat, Nirvana beach is accessible by boat and road from Kumta town. 

Om beach is named so because it is shaped like the auspicious ॐ [Om] symbol. Om beach is the only naturally Om shaped beach.
